About the Artist

I am a wildlife artist and photographer with a background in art, textile design and pet portraiture.
Born and raised in Yorkshire, my love of the rolling countryside of the Yorkshire Dales and village life has influenced how I connect with wild spaces and wildlife habitats. The call of wilder places and wildlife means I now spend my time split between exploring overseas and creating artwork from my adventures when I return home.
I am an associate artist for Unison Pastels, based in the beautiful countryside of Northumberland. I primarily work in pastels and acrylics, blending these mediums to create realistic, naive and also printmaking art. I love the fluidity of being able to mix my artistic styles based on memories and moments captured behind the lens of my camera alongside emotions I experienced.
Over-landing by many means, including Tuk Tuk's, expedition vehicles and camper vans has allowed me to get closer to nature and off the beaten track. The sights and sounds of being surrounded by nature from dusk till dawn influence my art work and evolving style.
I am committed to supporting conservation efforts, donating 10% of art print profits to organisations protecting endangered species and aiding street animals. Some original artworks will be advertised with 100% of profits to these causes, of which I am dedicating to preserve the natural world that inspires my art.
Within my blogs, I share my close encounters and unexpected adventures along the way. You can follow my wildlife encounters and journey of photography and travel sketching through my YouTube Channel and Social Media 'Travel My Wild Life' @travelmywildlife
